Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)
GVWR indicates the maximum weight of your trailer, including capacity for passengers and other items inside. This can be found in your trailer's manual or on its VIN plate. GVWR is different from the dry weight, or unloaded vehicle weight (UVW), which is the weight of your trailer when empty.
We have several different trailer dolly models that can move up to 15,000 lbs GVWR. Each trailer dolly model has its own limitations to the amount of weight it can tow. To simplify things, each model includes this maximum weight capacity in its name:
- Scout 3K – 3,000 lbs
- Force 5K – 5,000 lbs
- Force 10K – 10,000 lbs
- Carrier 13K – 13,000 lbs
- Transformer 15K – 15,000 lbs
Note: The listed weight capacity may change depending on the connection adapter used. Please refer to individual weight capacities listed on our product pages for details.
