What is Maximum Weight Capacity or GVWR?

Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)

GVWR includes the capacity of your trailer; how much you can put in it, including passengers. This can be found in your trailer's manual or on its VIN plate. GVWR is different from the dry weight, or unloaded vehicle weight (UVW), which is the weight of your trailer when empty.

We have several different trailer dolly models that can move up to 15,000 lbs GVWR. Each trailer dolly model has its own limits to the amount of weight it can tow. To simplify things for you and for us, each model includes this maximum weight capacity in its name:

Note: The listed weight capacity may change depending on the connection adapter used. Please refer to individual weight capacities listed on our product pages for details.
